von O$A is a producer and singer-songwriter from Vaughan, Ontario whose art appeals to lovers of genre-bending sounds. Born into a working-class family, he grew up listening to his brother’s CDs which consisted mostly of heavy metal and post-hardcore bands like Underoath & A Day to Remember. He started his musical journey at age 9 with the drums, then moved on to learn the guitar, music production and then singing as well as rapping. Living in a suburb of Toronto whose culture was heavily impacted heavily by hip-hop, von O$A’s taste in music would be ostracized anywhere he’d go. When he finally discovered his love for rap through his friends in elementary, he knew music was what he wanted to do.
