黒百合姉妹 (Kuroyuri Shimai) is a neoclassical darkwave duo from Osaka, Japan, formed in May 1986 by JURI and LISA. Their ethereal style is heavily influenced by western classical music, Medieval European history, and gothic imaginary. They also mention the art of Holly Warburton and Leonora Carrington as a source of inspiration. Kuroyuri Shimai are also known as "The Black Lily Sisters" or "Les soeurs des lys noirs" as "kuro" means "black", "yuri" means "lily" and "shimai" means "sisters".
