Abecedarians
Abecedarians were a Los Angeles based trio active in the mid to late 80's. Chris Manecke (guitar, vocals, keyboards), Kevin Dolan (drums) and John Blake (bass) specialized in reverb heavy, synth driven post-punk songs. Manecke's rich vocals and unusual lyrics were the most distinctive aspects of this little known band. In the mid 90's, Abecedarians' Chris Manecke and John Blake formed First Men on the Sun along with Jason Toney on drums. They released a self titled album on Southwest Audio Reproductions in 1995.
