This track was an attempt to write some melodic/smooth house after being inspired by a couple of dj sets of melodic house (check out @arnie_nrw if you are interested). This project began as an exercise to write a song that would be eligible for curated genre playlisting. But for some reason I have a mental block when writing for specific genres, the resulting track is close to the antithesis of what I set out to accomplish. Starts out with a slow half step bass track, but... I quickly reimagine the track as a dance floor arrangement, followed by a melodic synth interlude, back into a dance arrangement and then schizophrenically into a reprise of the intro. 🙃 I hope ya'll enjoy it.more
