British Electric Foundation (B.E.F.) is a transition project of Martyn Ware and Ian Craig Marsh from The Human League to Heaven 17. Ware and Marsh were the major creative force behind the original Human League which was a milestone for the Dark Electro-Industrial sound that came a few years later with (DAF, FRONT 242, THE KLINIK, etc.) B.E.F.'s sound was very cold and experimental which could be closely compared to THE FUTURE project that Ware and Marsh had (prior to the Human League) with Adi Newton (later of Clock DVA.
