Balduin was born in Bern, Switzerland in December 1978. He wrote his first song at the tender age of 8. As a teenager he formed his first band. He learned to play the swiss dulcimer "Hackbrett" and later on guitar. In 2001 he got a music contract with Crippled Dick Hot Wax! from Berlin and released his first international album "Creative Cookery". In general it's hard to find the right words for the music of Balduin. Even journalists don't find often the right words.
