Basilica refers to three bands: 1. Basilica is a death metal band formed in Boone, North Carolina. Starting in 2016 under the name Golgotha, the group consists of vocalist Reilly Appert, bassist Chandler Bell, guitarist Cameron Price, and drummer Brady Kennedy. The band became entwined with the fast-growing Boone metal/hardcore scene, known for their combination of heavy riffage, technical breakdowns, and virtuosic solos, which they have coined as "hair slam".
