Currency was a former member of C-Murder's Tru Records and Master P's the 504 Boyz, appearing on a limited amount of material with the group (though he was often credited as "504 Boyz featuring Currency", making his membership in the group appear minor at best). He is included in the song "Motha Fuck You" which is found on Soulja Slim's album Years Later. He was the first artist to be released on Lil Wayne's Young Money Entertainment label. Currency has come out with an underground hit song called "Where Da Cash At"
