There are multiple artists known as Chaka: 1) Chaka is the stage name of 安則眞実 (Mami Yasunori), a jazz vocalist born July 16, 1960 in Osaka, Japan. She began her career as a singer in a jazz club in Osaka when she was 18. A few years later, she joined keyboardist and guitarist 松浦雅也 (Masaya Matsuura) to form PSY・S in 1983. During their time in a band together, she became recognized in the Japanese jazz scene for her strong, powerful voice.
