Cueshé's members all hail from the city of Cebu, Philippines, where they used to play as a show band. In 2005, they moved to Manila and started to play as a pop-rock band. Their name comes from bananaCUE (bananas cooked with charcoals, a delicacy in the Philippines) and the pronoun "she."
