Danú is an Irish traditional music band based in County Waterford, Ireland. First meeting in Waterford in 1994, it was after performing in the Festival Interceltique de Lorient in 2005 that the group decided to consolidate as a band. They play both traditional and original tunes and bring much energy to their music. Danu features Benny McCarthy on accordion, Muireann Nic Amhlaoibh on vocals and tin whistle, Tom Doorley on flutes, whistles, and vocals
