When Kenan began writing melody-centric instrumental tunes heavily influenced by metal and jazz, he gave birth to earth7. Soon after this creation, a 3 song EP was released consisting of him playing and recording the guitar, bass, drums, and synthesizers, while also undertaking the task of mixing and mastering – all in his small home studio.
