While developing the production and vocal delivery, I wanted to tap into the energy Britney Spears captured on her 2007 hit “Gimme More”, one of pop music's most iconic club anthems. It was released right in the thick of intense personal and public scrutiny. Channelling that unapologetic, hypnotic defiance, “RIVALRY (STILL HEateD)” turns personal heartbreak and petty competition into pure main-character sovereignty under the strobe lights.
