The band was formed in the summer of 2002 with bassist Tatsu Mikami (Church of Misery, Salem) and singer Yoshiaki Negishi (ex-Church of Misery, ex-Coffins). Soon drummer Fukawa (Sonic Flower) and guitarist Futatsugi joined the ranks of G.A.T.E.S
