G.G. Allin, one of the most controversial punk figureheads in the 80's, was known for his violent, often bawdy live shows. He would often appear naked stage, and break into a routine of throwing fecal matter at the audience, sexually assaulting female audience members both on voluntary and involuntary terms. The focus of G.G. Allin's music was not so much on the auditory portion as the offensive visual aspects of his shows. G.G. Allin died of a heroin overdose in 1993.
