Gerardo or "la Pelota" (born Gerardo Mejía on April 16, 1965 in Guayaquil, Ecuador) is a rapper and singer who later became a recording-industry executive. He has based his career in Los Angeles since his family moved to Glendale, California, at the age of 12. He became known for his bandana, skintight jeans and shirtless torso. He sometimes refers to himself as the "Latin Elvis" or the "Latin Frank Sinatra".
Gerardo's first appearance in show business was when he played the character "Bird" in the 1988 film Colors

This song is a fun ice breaker for people who assume I am stuck up or unapproachable because I am a good looking man. The truth is I am one of the nicest people you could ever meet and as the song lyrics state my true beauty comes from within. This song is dedicated to all of my fellow good looking men in the world, you know who you are. Additionally I wanted to create a groove that will inspire people to boogie and have fun because I am blessed to be a pretty boy and it has added sparkle to my cinematic life journey.
