Gurukiran is a prolific young music director in the Kannada Film Industry, Sandalwood. He rose to fame by scoring amazing tunes to early Upendra films like A and Upendra. His recent effort Jogi starring ShivRaj Kumar has broken record sales. Gurukiran hails from South Canara in Karnataka and we can see influences of Carnatic Classical, folk, Westren mainstream music (Pop Rock and Hip Hop) and ambient music.
