Hartfield is a shoegaze band from Japan, formed in 2000 by Takateru Kagawa (guitar, vocals). Later that year, Yukari Tanaka (guitar, vocals) joined the band officially. They started playing gigs with a support bassist and drummer on December 2000. They participated in a compilation album titled "Seven Winters" which was released on Curse of My Bloody Valentine. They released three cassette singles by independence production and sold all 1,000 copies of them at independent record stores in and around Tokyo.
