KAITO・初音ミク are vocaloids. Vocaloid is a singing synthesizer application software developed by the Yamaha Corporation that enables users to synthesize singing by just typing in lyrics and melody. KAITO is a Vocaloid DTM (Desktop Music) software created by Crypton Future Media. He utilizes the older Vocaloid engine, the predecessor for Vocaloid2. The voice was supplied by Naoto Fuga and the name “KAITO” was selected from among applicants.
