There are at least two artists with this name: 1. LAKSHMI creates dark, electronic pop and genuine piano music. Lyrics cover cigarettes and love, cities in the nighttime, arts and dance. Hiphop-beats meet soaring and volatile lines; dark violins and violent synths coincide with piano, balancing in a triangulation of Lorde, Lana Del Rey and M.I.A. In December 2014, LAKSHMI was finalist in the Grote Prijs van Nederland (Grand Prize of the Netherlands), and Lakshmi herself was asked for the Beste Singer-Songwriter van Nederland.
