The new prodigal son
My latest composition, on the theme of the prodigal son. I was inspired by Jesus' parable in the book of Luke chap 15 vs 11-32.
A son asks his father for all his inheritance and goes off to squander it all on futile needs far from his family. He loses everything, but worst of all, he realizes that what he lacks most is his father's love, which he has forsaken for material possessions.
He struggles to return to his father, fearing he'll be thrown out, but his father welcomes him back with open arms and orders a feast in honor of his lost son's return...more
