Niatia Jessica Kirkland (born October 4, 1989), better known by her stage name "Lil Mama", is an American rapper, dancer, singer-songwriter and former member of Jive Records. Kirkland was born in Harlem and later moved to the East New York section of Brooklyn, New York where she attended Edward R. Murrow High School.
In 2006 she signed a recording contract with Jive Records. Lil Mama worked with producers such as Cool & Dre, Scott Storch, The Runners, Groove Chambersand Dr.
