Mazapán, formed in 1979, is a Chilean group of children's music. Consisting in its inception of seven female music scholars, the group has incorporated influence from a variety of musical styles and genres, including Medieval, Renaissance, Baroque and South American folk. On their four decades long career, Mazapán has amassed an archive of 16 discs; numerous compilations; various TV appearances, ranging from their collaborations with the educational TV project Teleduc in the 1980s
