A star was born on November 8th 1947, and her name was Julia Minnie Riperton. Most remembered for her famous "Lovin' you," Minnie Possessed a 5 octave singing voice, and Whistle Register. Not did Minnie possess a 5 octave singing voice, she could also hit notes in the 6th, and 7th octave. In 1976 Riperton was diagnosed with breast cancer, and would go on to have a mastectomy. During this year it had already begun to spread throughout her lymphatic system.
