Nanko refers to two artists: one is a singer from Jamaica, famous for 2005s big tune Lucky You on the Sweet Sop riddim. The other (less famous) Nanko is an electronic music bod from Holland. His record company posted the following blurb: September 2005 saw the release of Rotterdam electronicus and guitar pioneer Nanko’s debut cd on the Laterax label: a auditory report of one year’s worth of experimenting with electronics combined with melodic and atonal guitar improvisations.
