After recording "Someday Came Suddenly" and touring some with Attack Attack! Austin left the band. With him leaving, Craig from Rise Records and Eric from The Artery Foundation told him to get into another band and that he would have their full support. After looking into established bands, and talking to different people, Austin decided to start something new of his own. He asked one of his best friends Jaxin Hall from New Zealand, to be his partner in crime and apart of whatever he did next.

Dig Your Own Grave
What happens sometimes when you talk too much?
You really got a way with words
But the lies won't help you find your way
Close the curtains
Shelter in place
The world is bleeding
There's no meaning now
Find–
Comfort in hurting
Try to save face
But you're only pleading
Inside you're screaming out
You really got a way with words
But the lies won't help you find your way
Find your way
You always try to hide the hurt
All the while you go and dig your own grave
Dig your own grave
Kept uncertain
I've fallen from grace
And now I'm bleeding
Oh, I'm bleeding out
Can't–
Stop the hurting
Flat on my face
I'm only pleading
But there's no conceding now
You really got a way with words
But the lies won't help you find your way
Find your way
You always try to hide the hurt
All the while you go and dig your own grave
Dig your own grave
You really got a way with words
But the lies won't help you find your way
You always try to hide the hurt
All the while you go and dig your own grave
Dig your own grave
You really got a way with words
But the lies won't help you find your way
Find your way
You always try to hide the hurt
All the while you go and dig your own grave
Dig your own grave

Martyr of the Day
Forgiveness. Trust. Deference. Betrayal. Denial. Acceptance. Repeat.
You just take,
Take;
Never give anything away,
Until we break,
Break;
Hang our heads in shame;
Listen to the voices,
Tell us comforting lies;
Give in to paranoia,
When you're in disguise;
CHORUS
Make me a martyr,
For the things I've done;
Make me a martyr,
So I'll be the one–
To take the pain away,
The world–it needs to feel a change;
Make me the martyr–
Make me The Martyr of the Day;
Oh, listen to the voices,
Tell us comforting lies;
Give in to paranoia,
When you're in disguise;
Take,
And take;
Never give anything away,
Until we break,
Break;
Hang our heads in shame;
(Chorus)
Make me the Martyr of the Day;
Make me the Martyr–
Make me the Martyr of the Day;
Make me the Martyr of the Day;
