Rojda
The Kurdish singer Rojda was born in 1978, in the village Tutun near the town Qûrtalanê in the region of Sêrt (Western Kurdistan). She went to Istanbul to study after primary school. In 1991, she started to study music with the band Koma Gulen Xerzan (Koma Gulên Xerzan) which belongs to her brother. This band starts to work with MKM (Mesopotamia Culture Center) after 1993. In 1994 as a band they finished their first record Koma Xerzan - "Şehîd Jibîr Nabin” (Unforgetables).
