S.O.a.
State of Alert (S.O.A.) was a Washington, D.C. hardcore punk group formed in October 1980, and disbanded in summer 1981. S.O.A. was fronted by Henry Rollins, then using his original surname Garfield, before he went on to front Black Flag and then Rollins Band. The original lineup consisted of Michael Hampton (guitar), Wendel Blow (bass) and Simon Jacobsen (drums). Hampton went on to form The Faith in 1981 with Alec MacKaye, and then Embrace in 1985 with Ian MacKaye.
