Scrill, born DeAngelo Hatcher was raised in the tough streets of Highland Park, MI. DeAngelo turned to rap to cope with the difficult ghetto life. Sharpening his skills in writing and flow (rap rhyming) DeAngelo became know as Scrill. The moniker Scrill means money in street terms and was given to him by his friends that knew his rap style would land him a recording deal and soon Platinum sales. Junior and Scrill met while Scrill was perfoming at a battle session locally in the Detroit area.
