SEE THROUGH
Put my skin on inside out While the mirror practices my smile Thread my veins through shopping malls As my reflection runs for miles Wear a face made out of glass And my thoughts leak through the window pane Try to hold myself at last But I'm transparent once again See you See through Be true Paint my edges back to life Everyone please render me Program in my human signs Upload authenticity Push alerts like hungry ghosts Feast upon my hollow core All my pixels decompose As I fade into the floor See you See through Break through Caught between the screens Real and fake Filtered through the lens Of my escape What if I could just Disappear Resetmore

SHIPS AT NIGHT
SHIPS AT NIGHT She walks through city streets With headphones blocking out the noise Her thoughts are miles away Wading through crowds as if they're ghosts Driving along with no direction Waiting for something like redemption He sits behind a desk His memories in drawers deep The clock ticks loudly now He counts the minutes till he's free Stagnant in a place but full of longing Searching for something worth the trouble Ships at night Blind to light Lost in sight They pass on monday morn The coffeeshop where fate could intervene At the same cashier Their fingers brush but neither feels a thing Traveling paths that almost touch now Parallel lives that never quite cross. Ships at night Blind to light Lost in sightmore
