Swaha performs soulful, uplifting music inspired by the Hindu musical tradition with vocals in Sanskrit backed by a variety of unique musical instruments. The songs are composed by Meenakshi and Ron Reid. Many are based on traditional Sanskrit chants. Meenakshi is a teacher of hatha yoga and yoga philosophy, leading kirtan, chanting workshops and yoga classes in the U.S., Canada and the U.K.. Ron Reid is co-owner of the highly respected Astanga yoga studio Downward Dog Yoga Centre.
