Brighton-based band. Dark, rustic and angry, with subtle overtones of hope and irony; a refreshing palate of soft melodies that sound easier than they look: Witty, debonair and daring. Mo Intelligent and out of the ordinary- Sweet Sweet Lies combine urgent electrocoustic instrumental with witty, ironic and bittersweet vocals. They are a rock band at heart but they are strongly influenced by blackhearted Country and Brighton's retro rockabilly sensibility. They are not skifflecore.
