Television
Television was one of the most creative bands to emerge from New York's underground scene of the mid-'70s, creating an influential new guitar vocabulary. While guitarists Tom Verlaine and Richard Lloyd liked to jam, they didn't follow the accepted rock structures for improvisation — they removed the blues while retaining the raw energy of garage rock, adding complex, lyrical solo lines that recalled both jazz and rock. With its angular rhythms and fluid leads

All things that sparkle
Jimi Uno is set to release his new Album "Kitschenware" Inspired by the 1980s Kitchenware Records Scene. Jimi Uno proudly announces the release of his highly anticipated album " Kitschenware" an album of sophisticated pop music for the discerning listener, particularly inspired by the legendary artists of Kitchenware Records. Kitchenware Records, home to influential bands like Prefab Sprout, Martin Stephenson and the Daintees, The Kane Gang, and Hurrah!, cultivated a distinctive sound characterized by acoustic guitars, melancholy lyrics, and innovative production techniques. "Kitschenware" captures the essence of this era while adding a fresh and modern twist that resonates with today’s listeners. Jimi Uno is an innovative multi-instrumentalist music artist known for crafting immersive sonic landscapes that span genres. Starting his musical journey at the tender age of 13 in 1982, Jimi has honed his craft over decades, blending nostalgia with heartfelt storytelling to create a timeless and modern sound, and has been an active musician in Liverpool for decades. His last album, Popular Syntheteque, established Jimi as a creative force in the synth-wave scene, showcasing pulsating beats and cinematic soundscapes. However his latest album is a step in a very different direction, it is based upon the 1980’s independent label Kitchenware. Very innovative, creative, sophisticated pop, with no fillers and treating every song as though it could be a single. It is recorded as full unedited takes and there is no use of autotune in sight, real music, real vocals, and all instruments and vocals are performed by Jimi. Whether transporting audiences to neon-lit Cyberdreams or touching hearts with poignant melodies, Jimi Uno’s music captures the imagination and leaves an indelible mark.
