Veleidosa
"Veleidosa" is a vibrant and joyful composition that belongs to the "Marinera" genre, which is one of the most representative dances of Peru. I invite you to watch the YouTube video to see how it is danced (click on the link). The melody of "Veleidosa" is sweet and playful, featuring high notes that evoke the happiness and lightness of the dance. The song tells the story of a beautiful, flirtatious, and ever-changing woman who toys with the heart of her lover. "Veleidosa" captures the essence of the marinera, combining romance, coquetry, and an abundance of energy. The song invites you to move your body and surrender to the music, becoming an anthem of joy and love. It honors the Peruvian musical tradition while daring to explore new possibilities and experiment with different sonic elements, making it an exciting and captivating musical piecmore

"Luna" is a very special musical composition for me. I wrote it at a time in my life when I was overwhelmed by feelings of anxiety, insomnia, and depression, but I found in the composition a way to find peace. With "Luna" I imagined a woman enveloped in the mystery of a moonlit night, a beautiful woman who at times appeared to be near but still kept her true identity hidden. The song has a "festejo" rhythm characteristic of the traditional music and dance of the Peruvian coast, which has its roots in the music and dances brought during the colonial period from Africa. The festejo is a very popular cultural expression in the northern and central coast of Peru, characterized by a festive and joyful rhythm, marked by the sound of drums and cajones. The piano and soprano saxophone solos give the song a jazzy touch, combining the traditional and the modern without losing its cultural essence. I hope that "Luna" invites listeners to explore their own feelings and emotions, and to find peace in the midst of uncertainty, just as the festejo represents the richness and diversity of Afro-Peruvian culture.more
