Known as Valeree, queer LA-based artist Megan Mortensen crafts hooky, R&B and Jazz-influenced pop with a witty, bold point of view, delivering introspective lyrics with mainstream-ready melodies. The Pittsburgh-native songwriter has been candid about a history with substance abuse that involved hospitalizations, rehab centers, homelessness, and jail, all of which lend themselves to her storytelling pen. Valeree is passionate advocate for women and for mental health, subjects often reflected in her songwriting.
