BUTA is a rapper from Ferizaj, Kosovo. He started his career in 2009 and released his first solo mixtape, a two volume project, called Rolling Stoned in 2012-2013. He lives in Tirana, Albania but makes trips back to Ferizaj every so often to record and visit family. Buta’s music draws its style from the trap subgenre, typically distinguished by its explicit lyrics and Roland TR-808 drum machine sound. His popularity spiked when the track Hashish Thaqi, with its well circulated music video, dropped in the summer of 2016.
