Cold Chisel
Cold Chisel produced the canonical example of Australian pub rock, with a string of hits throughout the 1970s and 1980s, and they are acknowledged as one of the most popular and successful Australian groups of the period, although this success and acclaim was almost completely restricted to Australia. The band formed in Adelaide in 1973 as a heavy metal band called Orange around keyboard player Don Walker and original bassist Les Kascmarek and while hard rock remained at the core of their sound Cold Chisel displayed a remarkable versatility.

Fracture or Frame
EXCLUSIVE FOR MY FRIENDS HERE AT SLAPS.COM !! This track appears nowhere else online. It's part of a progressive metal concept album I've been working on for the past 6 months and honestly, I just want someone to hear SOMETHING from it. I've finished songs 2, 3, and 5 out of 10 songs I've planned for the album. The story of which is that of a man who realises that the universe is governed by rules that can be manipulated by consciousness. This song, "Fracture or Frame" tells the part of the story where he's still struggling with the idea of what he think's he's found in his investigations of Quantum Information Holography.more

My Love, My Liberty (Farewell)
The idea behind this song is that it's a farewell to American democracy, but I didn't want it to sound like a protest song. So, I spent some time thinking about the most "American" music I could imagine and decided that it was the themes which appeared at the start of TV shows and movies like Deadwood. I wanted to tell the story from the perspective of a love affair that was ending to make it more personal for the listener - to bring that message closer to home.more
