I have a new single out! "If I Ever Wanted Anything" is a post-punk power ballad with the same searing, queer femme energy that The Rapid Onset is known for. It's both gospel and grit, spiritual and spit, You said knock And it will be opened You said seek And I will find You said ask Ans it will be given You said love Heart, soul and mind So I knock, And I seek And I ask, And I love With all my heart, And all my soul And all my mind But I’m still standing here telling you Goodbye Goodbye I said I’d wait (You said you’d wait) ‘til you brought us through it (But you never did) I said I’d fight (You said you’d fight) ‘til war was over (But it never ends) I said I’d give ‘til I was empty But I guess you always knew That I’d be standing here one day Telling you goodbye Telling you Goodbye It’s got everything to do with love (love) It’s got everything to do with love (love) I can’t live what I don’t want I can’t give what I don’t have It’s everything to do With everything I am Standing here telling you It’s everything to do with love Goodbye You said knock And the door will open See k and I will find And if I ever wanted anything You said all I gotta do is You said ask It will be given You said love Heart, soul and mind So I knock, And I seek And I ask, And I love With all my heart, And all my soul And all my mind But I’m still standing here telling you Goodbye Goodbye I said I’d wait ‘til you brought us through it fight ‘til war was over Give ’til I was empty goodbye I said I’d give and now I’m empty Goodbyemore
