GBone — “Hel (Light and Dark)” “Hel (Light and Dark)” is a myth-inspired metal song based on Hel, the Norse goddess associated with the realm of the dead. GBone says the idea came from portraying Hel’s contrasting sides in the game SMITE: light and dark. The artist describes the track as a fusion of melodic death metal and black-metal vocals, while retaining a dark folk-ballad atmosphere. That combination suggests a song built around contrast: heavy, aggressive metal elements alongside a more somber, atmospheric feel. Its mythological concept gives the track a narrative angle, drawing on Norse imagery and the character’s dual nature rather than presenting it as a straightforward metal song.
