Born in Hiroshima, Daisuke started off as the composer and guitarist of postrock band よだか (Yodaka) in 2001. Having evaluated their sound, they have been praised by Jim O’Rourke. Being inspired by their psychedelic sound due to a postrock approach and by Maurizio Bianchi, Daisuke started his solo project in 2004. よだか(Yodaka) consisting of Kashiwa Daisuke (Guitar/Programming), Nema Takeshi (Guitar/Synth), Takimoto Nozomu (Bass) and Yamamoto Hironobu (Drums). よだか has just a bootleg released, witch calls also よだか.
