“The Boy I Buried to Survive” is a deeply introspective track from Xilence that explores the emotional cost of growing up in instability and trauma. The song centers on the metaphor of burying one’s own innocence as a means of survival, portraying a fractured internal dialogue between who Xilence was as a child and who he became in order to endure his environment. Through vivid storytelling, Xilence reflects on early exposure to loss, neglect, and violence, and how those experiences forced an emotional transformation that felt necessary but irreversible. The “boy” in the song represents vulnerability, hope, and untouched innocence, while the present version of Xilence represents emotional armor built through pain and detachment. Rather than framing this transformation as empowerment alone, the track leans into its emotional weight questioning what it means to survive when survival requires self-erasure. The result is a haunting, cinematic piece that sits between confession and confrontation, capturing the lingering presence of the past self that never fully disappears.more

“Prison Walls” is a deeply introspective melodic rap track that explores the experience of being trapped inside one’s own mind. Through vivid storytelling and emotional lyricism, the song follows Xilence struggling with internal battles that feel impossible to explain to others, even when they try to reach out. At its core, the track captures the isolation that comes from mental overwhelm the moment when speaking no longer feels effective, and silence becomes both a shield and a prison. The verses move through everyday moments of emotional suppression, masked stability, and private breakdowns, while the hook reinforces the feeling of being unheard and misunderstood. “Prison Walls” ultimately reflects the quiet war between expression and silence, highlighting how some of the heaviest struggles are the ones carried alone.more
