We live in a world of media and everyone has a song about them. Most people in the industry have become fake. They're not who they say they are. Every day people are enslaved by the system and it’s designed to keep us complacent, docile and controllable. The most dangerous act an artist can do is to be real and tell the truth. The most vital need right now is to hear truth spoken in its rawest, purest form. This is what Hip Hop was designed for, to be a voice for the voiceless and to give hope where there is no hope left. It’s been too long since hip-hop was used as a force for good, a light in the darkness - A weapon against fear, hate and isolation - In these trying times we need that voice more than ever. I knew this all too well when I met Atypic_, one of those few fearless artists.
