Influences: Gola, Benson, Grapelli, McCartney, Page, Zappa.
Born in Bondi Junction, Sydney, Bryce moved to Thredbo when he was 5 and bought his first guitar.
“I hounded our neighbour to teach me to play after hearing McCartney and the Wings”.
He moved to Sun Valley, USA at 8 and join the school orchestra playing violin.
“I’d take my charts home and practice them on guitar. I suppose that’s why I never really excelled on violin”.
Moving back to AUS at 17, Bryce formed a Rock-A-Billy band, The Cruisers, then Buddy and the Birddogs, playing 50’s and 60’s hits. Both bands recorded and toured extensively.
Bryce joined the South Sydney Junior Leagues Club band. After 15 years, the Tres Mambo Latin Big Band and met the crew who would form a jazz quintet, The Mezzanines.
Bryce now produces music from his home studio.
His latest album, Space Jazz, oozes smooth jazz with a swinging big band overtone.
