Babushka's Boy (which translates to Grandma's Boy in Russian) was born and raised in Pretoria, South Africa. He is a 22 year old Philosopher, Contemporary Artist, Entrepreneur, Poet, Motivational Speaker & Musician. The start of his musical journey was influenced by the likes of Lil Wayne, Michael Jackson, Rick Ross, Bruno Mars, Kanye West and 50 Cent, but the music he's currently making is inspired by the likes of Gunna, Kid Cudi, Future, Lil Gotit, Ski Mask, Young Thug, Lil Baby, Yung Mal, Gucci Mane and Guap Tarantino to name a few. He says his goal is to create timeless music that will stay relevant throughout, "I want to make music that my grandmother and my grandchildren can both relate to, touching on real issues and emotions that transcend race, class, gender and time" says Babushka's Boy. He explores themes such as Death, Love, Pain, Life and Motivation in a casual/comedic way with elaborate melodies & flows on hard trap beats. He is currently working within Patek Way Music.
