Mishandelingen
The Anatomy of an Obsession "Mishandelingen" (Abuses) is the knockout blow of the album. It is a bold, abrasive, and deeply honest track that leaves the listener with more questions than answers — exactly what befits a masterpiece. Nicart refuses to opt for an easy happy ending; instead, he chooses a catharsis of the truth, in which the line between perpetrator and victim, between love and obsession, completely blurs. The lyrics of "Mishandelingen" are a complex weaving of psychological themes that grip the listener by the throat. Musically, the track reflects the exhaustion and intensity of the end of a journey with a dramatic final chord. With "Mishandelingen," John Nicart brings the circle of “De hamer slaat toe” full circle. It is a masterful conclusion to an album that has led the listener through all stages of human suffering and hope. By ending with a question mark regarding his own actions and a prayer for true love, Nicart proves that he is one of the most profound lyricists of his generation. The hammer has come down, the facade is gone, and what remains is man in all his naked vulnerability. Translated lyrics: Abuses follow us Take your time Before she gets it wrong Take your time She loses her time And I my patience It's just a matter of honor How can she drink now She tastes only oblivion And I want to ignore it Her world is liberated Scared and ready to leave I don't care It's just a matter of honor But maybe I'm doing something wrong I'm drowning in data Where she holds me And our addiction She is my everything Maybe we'll see each other again Love fades away Love lasts forever And I confess Let this feeling grow into love I don't want to hear it anymore It's just a matter of honor I'm paying the price now I built high in my head Her image as a miracle Give me freedom While I eat and sleep While bleeding And breathe But maybe I'm doing something wrong I'm drowning in data Where she holds me And our addiction She is my everything I act wrong I act wrong Or am I doing well She blames it It's just a matter of honor Abuses follow us Take your time Before she gets it wrong Take your time She loses her time And I my patience It's just a matter of honor But maybe I'm doing something wrong I'm drowning in data Where she holds me And our addiction She is my everything - Mastered by mixea.commore

Jungle
CHECK OUT MY NEW ALBUM & Jungle on streaming services and YouTube Jungle" acts as a core piece of my creative work, painting the city as a hybrid ecosystem where industrial grit meets digital precision. Through my unique, hands-on perspective, the track illustrates a city reclaimed by nature—a "concrete canopy" where silicon and biology merge into a raw, unpredictable reality. I frame the inhabitants as "stray dogs of the digital age," navigating a landscape where the once-static infrastructure now breathes and reacts. By blending the sterile, data-driven world with the decay of "rusting nails" and "damp concrete," I highlight the engineering behind my process, capturing a transformation where the "modern apex" moves past just technology to reveal something fundamentally wild. more
