It's one of a few songs that will be featured in my upcoming EP titled "The Antagonist". “The Antagonis”t is a series about the struggles of having a constant war in your inner world. Understanding parts of yourself you are used to being ashamed of and embracing all that is you. It's working through self-loathing and the troubles of depression and anxiety but also learning to accept they are part of what makes you who you are. “sAD bOI HOURS” is about the need for escapism. Depending on outside forces whether it be a partner or substances to try and come save you or soothe you. The longing to be totally absorbed by your vices so you don’t have to look in the mirror and face yourself. In the video, there are symbolisms that portray those dependences but also explain the journey of mending the split that's inside the inner world. The face everyone else sees and the shadow self. The understanding that two parts make a whole and the journey to mend those parts as tough as it is is necessary to become one. I’d like to thank my team and everyone whose been along for the ride for helping me make my dreams come true. This is one of many soon-to-come projects that further tell stories of this narrative of learning to embrace all that makes The Antagonist.more
