KEVIN TONEY, nephew of LEGENDARY vocal icon KARL REID, founder of the multi-award winning group COMMISSIONED, is a lifelong music lover and family man who desires to build bridges and warm hearts through song. A Detroit area native, now residing in Charlotte, NC, Kevin discovered his love and gift for music early on. From his days in the church youth choir to leading worship teams to winning talent shows at historic Morris Brown College, he further developed a taste for the performing arts. His musical style ranges from Christian-Gospel to Jazz to R&B. Evident in his rich, smooth and warm vocal tone, some of his favorite influences include COMMISSIONED, Marvin Winans, Joe, James Brown, Harry Connick, Jr., and James Taylor, to name a few, among many others. Kevin’s new single, HAPPY CHRISTMAS, a cover originally written and recorded by the LEGENDARY JOHN LENNON and YOKO ONO , is by far his greatest accomplishment!
