Ayabonga Bennedict Mahlwabi professionally known as Kiddie400 is a songwriter/ rapper from George Western Cape South Africa . Growing up in a high crime rated neighborhood ‘Thembalethu’ and living around gangsters and being associated with them inspired the rapper to live life the gangster way. Along the way while he was fascinated by this life he met ‘King Kush’ a huge hip hop fan and a rapper who happened to have so many mutualities with the rapper and so they linked up and became friends. Kiddie400 stopped hanging out with the bad guys and started freestyling in school writing songs with ‘King Kush’ . It took quite some time for the rapper to start recording without the necessary equipment but he was offered a chance and a last verse on KK’s song titled ‘What You Want’ ft Aubrey Jr and Kiddie400. The rapper didn’t have a stage name during this time and so he shortened his nickname ‘Kid Savage’ (inspired by 21 savage) to Kiddie400 (with the 400 indicating that he’s inspired by YG).
