Grandpa's Lullaby is a neoclassical and emotional piano piece with the following background story: My grandfather was my best friend for a long time, he'd always make me laugh until my stomach hurt and he taught me many things, such as playing the piano! This melody brings me back to these sweet memories, but also embodies sadness since these moments belong to the past. Nowadays I see my own daughter having this wonderful relationship with my father. It warms my heart to see them laugh together. The fact that my father will not be able to see her grow up due to his illness, led to the bittersweet feeling and emotional middle section.
