‘UP FROM THE BOTTOM’ 25yrs Navy. 17 deployments. Retired. 30 days later lost my wife Amelia. 💔 Grief tried to drag me under but I threw it on a catchy beat instead. She was pure energy, loved upbeat grooves.. so I made this for her fire while still bleeding. Alt-rock anthem. Raspy pain + explosive chorus. Came UP from the bottom just to get wrecked by the real war. Navy vet. Heart in pieces. Still reaching across that cold side of the bed. 🛏️ 😞 more

Not Your Fire by Moon in Ashes 🌙 is a dark Gothic rock anthem about breaking free from emotional self-sacrifice and reclaiming your identity after years of burning for everyone else. The song explores manipulation, exhaustion, survival, and the realization that love should never require you to destroy yourself to keep others warm. Blending gritty post-grunge energy with cinematic emotion, the track moves from quiet suffering into fierce defiance. Through imagery of fire, ash, monsters, and survival, the narrator refuses to stay small, silent, or useful at the expense of her own soul. At its core, Not Your Fire is about choosing truth over approval, boundaries over self-erasure, and finally learning how to save yourself.more
